9 Ludhiana schools receive bomb threat; security tightened
LUDHIANA: Nine private schools in Ludhiana received bomb threats on Tuesday early morning via email. In the email, the accused claimed that the school buildings would be blasted by 1.11 pm, also warned that explosions on trains would follow by 3.11 pm.

As soon as the emails were received, school authorities informed the police. The buildings were evacuated, and bomb squads began checking the school premises.A school official confirmed that the email was received at around 6:56 am. Although examinations have already concluded, teachers were present at the schools to check answer sheets.At the time of filing the report, nothing had been found in any of the school buildings, but searches were ongoing.The email was reportedly sent by the Khalistan National Army. It also warned migrants to leave Punjab by 13 April.Confirming the development, Ludhiana Commissioner of Police, Swapan Sharma, said: “These are hoax threats. In some schools, children were present, but all were evacuated safely before the search operation.”
